‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, With 50.6 Million Viewership Hours, Is The Most-Watched Indian Film On Netflix
I am sure you will agree that OTT platforms have been our saviours during the lockdown, right? We were exposed to a great variety of content from all across the world in the form of web series. But the trend these days is to release a film in theatres but after its box office run, release them on OTT as well. This year so far we have seen some great films being released in theatres and even OTT and Gangubai Kathiawadi was one such film. After its successful box office run, the movie was released on Netflix and now it has gone on to be the most viewed Indian film on the streaming platform.
Gangubai Kathiawadi Becomes Most-Watched Indian Film
As per reports, Gangubai Kathiawadi has garnered 50.6 million viewership hours and the film also remained in the top 10 list for almost six weeks. It was the most-watched non-English film. Gangubai was closely followed by RRR which has clocked 39.48 million viewership hours on Netflix. The SS Rajamouli film has been making waves in the United States in its second week of release on the streaming platform.

Sports drama Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor-Mrunal Thakur also has grabbed its spot in the top 10 for a third week in a row with its viewership hours standing at 11.77 million.
