Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ To Feature The Boys From ‘ZNMD’? Yes, Please!
Okay, can we all collectively agree that Bollywood isn’t exactly churning out worthy movies in recent times? However, there are some movies that are just so iconic that you can enjoy them no matter what. I personally am a huge Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) fanatic. I have watched that movie multiple times and can never get enough of it. The beautiful backdrop of Spain along with Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol’s dynamic trio was such an amazing experience. Pair that with Javed Akhtar’s soulful poetry which is narrated by Farhan, and it is simply art. So imagine my excitement when I saw this tweet by Farhan Akhtar announcing his upcoming movie, Jee Le Zaraa.

Earlier this year Farhan Akhtar announced his next movie as a director. Jee Le Zaraa is a road-trip film featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt as the leading ladies. The movie is set to be released sometime in 2022. After Don 2 (2011), this is his first directorial venture in a long time. This announcement was made the day Dil Chahta Hai completed 20 years.

Now as a self-proclaimed ZNMD fanatic, you can imagine my excitement when I heard the reports of the leading cast of ZNMD which are Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol could potentially be making an appearance in the upcoming movie. According to India Today, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara lead actors Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol will be making a cameo or there will be a crossover between ZNMD and Jee Le Zaraa. Farhan is trying to make the idea of merging the characters from ZNMD into JLZ for a surprise cameo.” I cannot wait to see all the on-screen chemistry between these actors in JLZ.
I hope I am not the only obsessed one here and there are other ZNMD who are just as excited about JLZ by Farhan Akhtar as I am. Let’s pray this movie is worth the wait and lives up to the hype!
