Family Court Postpones Thalapathy Vijay, Sangeetha’s Divorce Hearing: Reports
Just one year after their wedding, the couple welcomed a son in 2000 named Jason Sanay and a daughter named Divya Saasha in 2005.
The hearing for Thalapathy Vijay and Sangeetha’s divorce has been pushed to June 15 by the Chengalpattu Family Court. The former’s team has requested that he be allowed to attend the hearing via video conferencing, and the court has approved this. Her side has not yet raised any objections to this, and she will also attend the hearing via video conferencing. Read to know more about it here.

For the unversed, the scheduled hearing was listed for Monday, April 20, at the Chengalpattu Family Court and was first heard on February 26, after Sangeetha filed it in December 2025. During the same time, she accused her husband Vijay of indulging in an extramarital relationship with another actor. She also claimed that she was put through constant mental cruelty, neglect, and desertion.
As per a report by PTI, Sornaligam also said that she would implead the involved actress as a second respondent if the case required. Sangeetha also asked for dissolution of their marriage with the right of residence at her matrimonial home. She has also asked for permanent alimony from Vijay. Their divorce hearing has now been shifted to June 15, 2026.
