As we all know, Gender pay parity is basically the average difference between the earnings of working women and men and there is no doubt that women are being paid lesser than their male counterparts. And in an insightful conversation with the host of The Male Feminist – Siddhaarth Aalambayan, actress Anupriya Goenka opened up about gender pay parity in the film industry and said that there is a lack of awareness about it. She said that one of the main problems is that people who are a part of the industry don’t openly talk about their fees, so it becomes very difficult to know who is charging how much.

The War actress said that no one can tell you how much a male actor is charging for a project, so there is usually a lack of awareness about it. However, Anupriya Goenka said that she has a fair amount of understanding about the ‘huge difference’ in how much an actor charges for a similar role offered to an actress.
