The actress made this revelation on the first episode of Hauterrfly’s Yeh Ladki Pagal Season 2. The actress also gave the reason behind changing her name and it does not involve any astrology.

Why Did Nia Sharma Change Her Name?
Nia Sharma was the first guest on the new season of Hauterrfly’s Yeh Ladki Pagal Hai hosted by Pooja Nawathe. The two had a lot of fun and conversations over good street food. During the candid chat, Nia Sharma spoke about her name change, and when she decided to do it. Nia revealed that her original name was Neha Sharma and it still is on all her important documents. However, Nia revealed that she changed her name just before entering the entertainment industry. This was because many girls had the same name as hers and it was quite common, added Nia Sharma. She further added, “I switched my name to Nia, not astrologically, Nia means vibrancy and it stands out. I just wanted to have a different screen name, and nobody else has a name like Nia unless some girl wants to do it.”
