Exclusive: IDID Opens Up On Old Scars And Achievements: “We Want To Use Them As Motivation…”
In an exclusive interview, the members of IDID candidly shared their journey of overcoming past worries and celebrating personal growth and achievements.
Rising K-pop group IDID has made a vibrant comeback with their new Single Album [FLY!], which includes the title track ‘FLY!’ and the B-side ‘Attent!on’. In an exclusive interview, the members candidly shared their journey of overcoming past worries and celebrating personal growth and achievements. Read on to know more about it.
1. During your debut press conference, you mentioned that “falls and scars are part of us”. Now that your new music is centred on “flying with ease”, do those old scars feel like they’ve finally healed, or are they still pushing you forward?
JANG YONGHOON: I think some of the scars and insecurities from the past have definitely healed over time. But at the same time, new worries and scars will probably continue to appear along the way. To me, that’s simply part of the repeated process of growing and moving forward. Rather than letting those scars hold us back, we want to use them as motivation to keep growing, fly even higher with “FLY!”, and continue evolving as IDID.

2. Your name means ‘I did it’. Apart from musical milestones, what’s one small recent achievement that made you genuinely think, ‘I really did it!’?
JANG YONGHOON: These days, there’s a small but very special achievement I keep trying to accomplish — resisting late-night snacks. Honestly, that’s been my biggest “I really did it!” moment lately.
KIM MINJAE: For me, it’s finally starting to read books! I always used to just think about reading without actually doing it, so even beginning that habit feels like a real accomplishment to me.
PARK WONBIN: I’m usually really bad at making decisions… but after thinking about buying a pair of shoes for about three months, I finally bought them! That definitely felt like an “I did it!” moment for me.
CHU YOOCHAN: I’ve been working out really consistently these days. And honestly, I’ve never regretted exercising once I actually did it.
PARK SEONGHYEON: Recently, I’ve been paying a lot more attention to skincare, and I’ve successfully been doing one face mask every night!

BAEK JUNHYUK: I used to start studying English and quit after a few days, but now I’ve been studying consistently every day for three months straight. I still have a long way to go, but even sticking with it this far already feels like an “I did it!” moment to me.
JEONG SEMIN: I write in my diary every single day, and I’m really proud that I haven’t missed a single day so far. I’m going to keep it up – fighting!
