Popular K-pop idol and K-drama star Hwang Chansung is making waves on the internet with his marvellous performance in Netflix’s Bloodhounds Season 2. Amid the huge buzz surrounding the show, we got the chance to speak with him about his intense dark character, his strict concert diet, and his future plans of visiting India. Read on to know more!

Q1: Many celebrities have mentioned that the audience’s perception of them changes after they play a negative character. So, were you nervous at all that playing someone as dark as Tae-geom might change how people see you?

A: “No matter which role I played, my fans have always supported me. I’ve really appreciated all the love from my fans. But roles like this? Even my fans say it was a very new approach and a new image of mine. So again, I’m very thankful for all the love that my fans are giving me.”

Q2: We heard about your concert diet and it sounds intense! So, does it ever feel exhausting to still follow this routine?

A: “Back then, yes. But, at this point, I don’t think it’s really exhausting or painful. It’s just what I have to do for the concert. What needs to be done will be done.”

Q3: Do you have any plans for a 2PM concert or fan meeting in India in the future?

A: “I really, really want to visit India and see the country and meet my fans. I hear it’s a very passionate country with passionate fans and I’m just looking for the chance to go. If you’ll have me, I really would love to be there and meet you.”
