Nitya Mehra, Karan D.Kapadia On Priyanka Chopra Backing Hunkkaar!

I was curious to know about Priyanka Chopra’s involvement in this praiseworthy show Hunkkaar, starring Aneet Padda in the lead. Directors Nitya Mehra and Karan D.Kapadia shed light on this collaboration. Nitya Mehra said, “We made the show with Applause, and before we went to Hotstar, we were figuring out how we want to position it. Where we wanted to take it. At this point, we had a conversation with PC, and she wanted to watch one episode. She watched it; she loved it. And then her team also watched it. She is a real powerhouse. She said I wanna champion in any which way I can. So before Hotstar came, she came on board.”

Karan D. Kapadia added, “We were very clear also that a subject like this needs a big star to believe in something like this to get it to more people. We were convinced through her, because of her, that her championing a show like this will only be great for the show. So the idea was that. She did that. She came on board; she put it out there. She is taking us to an international platform. Involvement in that aspect has been solid; she is behind us and is super proud of the show as well.”
