Elliot Page’s Vanya Hargreeves Will Transition To Viktor In Upcoming ‘The Umbrella Academy’ S3
Let’s be fair, a lot of movies and shoes get a lot of flack for the lack of LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream media. Moreover, a lot of them have also faced backlash thanks to the fact that cis-het people end up playing LGBTQ+ characters and taking opportunities from people in the community. Hence, when Elliot Page transitioned from female to male, there was a lot of discourse around whether he will be continuing playing Vanya Hargreeves on The Umbrella Academy. However, all our questions have been answered as we just found out that the show is going to re-introduce Vanya as Viktor Hargreeves, a trans male character which Elliot will continue playing.

News has been flying around that season 3 of the Netflix show, The Umbrella Academy will have Elliot’s character come out as trans, having their name changed to Viktor. Elliot Page tweeted and took to Instagram to post a glimpse of Viktor Hargreeves from season 3 and can we all just admire how handsome he is?

Elliot Page came out as transgender in 2020 in an elaborate post on social media. Shortly after, Netflix confirmed that he will continue working in The Umbrella Academy but what was to happen to Vanya’s character was still a mystery that everyone was speculating. However, now that we have an answer, I cannot wait to see what is to come for both: Elliot and Viktor’s character.
