The prestigious Golden Globes Award 2023 saw many firsts. 60 is an age when people retire from work. However, talented actresses like Michelle Yeoh and Jennifer Coolidge are breaking this idea to show us that you can have many of your first achievements in your 60s as well. For the very first time, a Malaysian actress, Michelle Yeoh, 61, won the best actress award in the comedy/ musical category. She won it for her movie Everything Everywhere All At Once directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. Whereas Jennifer Coolidge, 60, won the first Golden Globe for best supporting actress in the famous HBO series The White Lotus, which returned with its second season last year.

Michelle Yeoh and Jennifer Coolidge are prime examples of consistent hard work and dedication, and it definitely pays off someday. Michelle Yeoh also raised the topic of racism that she face in Hollywood during her acceptance speech. The Everything Everywhere All At Once star wore a stunning metallic off-shoulder Armani Privé dress to the event. Michelle Yeoh has previously worked in movies like Kung Fu Panda 2, MCU’s Shang Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings. In 2000, Michelle Yeoh was nominated as the best actress in the leading role category at the BAFTA Awards. Her speech from this year’s Golden Globe Awards is being highly praised by everyone.

Jennifer Coolidge who won her first Golden Globes for her role as Tanya McQuoid in the White Lotus Season 2 was thrilled to accept this honour. Jennifer expressed her disbelief at first, and her acceptance speech was a mix of all kinds of emotions. She made the audience laugh but also emotional. Jennifer Coolidge wore a black embezzled dress from the brand Dolce and Gabbana. The actress also appeared in the Netflix series, The Watcher that released in 2022.
