Disha Patani’s sister Khushboo Patani shared her unfiltered stance on ongoing dowry-related cases that have dominated the media. She took to her social media and shared posts shedding light on such cases while also encouraging women to say no to marriages if they are all about dowry. Disha Patani’s Sister Khusboo Talks About Dowry Related Cases

Khushboo Patani shared a series of Instagram stories that turned heads. In one of the stories, she wrote that the daughter burns in the fire of dowry and this leaves one question: Is marriage truly necessary? She stressed how society conditions women to marry after a certain age, however no one teaches that living alone is also an art. In the next story, Khushboo wrote that along with abusive in-laws, tight-lipped parents are also responsible. She added that before dying, daughters reveal that they aren’t happy, but they are often asked to “adjust.”

Further, she asked women to have the guts to stay alone and refuse marriage if it’s all about dowry. Khushboo also urged women to take their rights back in legal battles, asking them to “Marna nahi hain, Maarna hai!”  She also penned that daughters aren’t married off but slowly sacrificed in the process. She then wrote, “Dahej kam tha shayad, isliye har roz apmaan hui thi.”
