Punjabi popstar Diljit Dosanjh is shining all out these days. The actor/singer’s journey from Punjabi cinema, music videos to now high-end concerts and international collaborations proves it is only getting better and better. In the latest video from the press conference of Dosanjh’s upcoming release–Amar Singh Chamkila, hosted for the trailer launch, we saw Diljit breaking down into tears on hearing sweet words from filmmaker–Imtiaz Ali.

At the trailer launch, Imtiaz described Diljit’s talent through words and lauded his journey so far. Praising the actor’s acting skills and his portrayal of Chamkila, Ali mentioned how Diljit easily transformed into the character and said that many people say he has achieved a lot of things, but I guarantee this is just the beginning, there are more and many great things on the way for him. And then what, Diljit for the first time broke in front of the media. The sweet words by filmmaker Imtiaz Ali touched his heart, and tears came running down his face. Obsessed Dosanjh fans took to the comments section and wrote as usual “Dil jeet liya.” Haaye, this man!

On the professional front, Diljit will be seen portraying the life and tragic demise of popular punjabi folk singer–Amar Singh Chamkila, alongside Parineeti Chopra, directed by Imtiaz Ali, and music by AR Rahman. The trailer of the film is finally out! The film is all set to release on April 12, 2024 only on Netflix.
