Diipa Khosla Just Walked The Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet Despite A Swollen Face. She Slayed And How!
We all have had days which were very monumental and important to us but we weren’t feeling like our best selves. And I feel like with the 75th Cannes Film Festival going on, it is easy to assume that all the people we see walking the red carpet in their stunning makeup and gorgeous dresses are feeling their best. However, that is not true and there is a lot that goes behind the scenes which we miss. Diipa Khosla has attended the Cannes this year as well and has brought with her a breathtaking look, yes, but also a reality check. She posted on her Instagram that due to an allergic reaction, her face has swollen up and given all of her followers a lot of courage, love and honesty.
In her recent Instagram post, Diipa Khosla was originally planning to show off her gorgeous Cannes look in her Manish Malhotra saree. However, she showed her followers that she had an allergic reaction and hence has her face swollen. In her post caption she wrote This is her first look from her fifth Red Carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. She then added that life always has surprises. Referring to these ‘surprises’ she says that they can be good, bad or ugly even. She further added that she has always promised her followers to be honest with them. Diipa said that while it is easier said than done, it is important to do rather than hide yourself. She said that her followers had inspired her to come forth and appear on the red carpet despite her allergies. Diipa claims that she is certain that every woman must have been in her position at some point or another and she wants to inspire them to walk out and “face the music” even when they don’t want to. She ended it by saying, “For we are beautiful. With or without that allergy, pimple, acne, pigmentation, scar, or whatever it may be. Lets do this. For us. All of us.” Check out her full post here:

When everyone will be gushing over the gorgeous women at Cannes (as they should) Diipa’s transparency and honesty are so refreshing. It is easy to forget that these are actual humans we are watching and that they aren’t perfect. Diipa Khosla’s post and stories are just a reminder of that.
