Did You Know Isha Koppikar Was Slapped 14 Times By Nagarjuna For THIS Reason? Details Inside!

Isha Koppikar, known for iconic movies like Krishna Cottage, Ek Vivaah Aisa bhi and more has recently opened about an unexpected incident early in her career, in which she was slapped 14 times by South superstar Nagarjuna during the shooting of Telugu film Chandralekha. In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Isha spoke about the background behind the intense scene, describing it as one of the most memorable from her early days in films.

Isha Koppikar Recalls Being Slapped By Nagarjuna

Isha Koppikar, who started as an actress in Telugu films before making her entry in Bollywood movies such as Don, LOC Kargil, and Salaam-e-Ishq, revealed that the frequent slaps were not part of a misconception; they were quite deliberately done by her own choice.

The scene involved her being slapped by Nagarjuna’s character. To do a better job of acting, Isha insisted that he slap her for real rather than pretend to do so. “It was just my second film,” she explained. “I wanted to act honestly. Initially, I could not feel the sentiment the scene required. So I asked Nagarjuna to slap me outright.”

According to Isha, he questioned her repeatedly as to whether she was certain. But she persisted and wanted to respond emotionally to the scene. He eventually gave in and slapped her 14 times across several takes. “He began quite gently at first,” she said, “but the number of takes just mounted.”
