‘The Male Feminist’ Episode 5: Isha Koppikar Says Husbands Aren’t “Projects” For Women To Take Care Of. Hear Hear!

How many of us grew up in typical patriarchal households where we saw the men in their households being served hand and foot by the women in our family? And what’s worse is that most of the people within the family believe that this is normal and simply a societal expectation. And I have seen this happen within my own family too wherein my mother has and still serves my father everything he needs in the house. Since I was a child, it was established that my father was head of the household and there was nothing we could say against him. And not only me but even Isha Koppikar as she opened up on episode 5 of The Male Feminist about how her mother still serves her father and a husband is not being a “project”.

Actress Isha Koppikar opened up to the male feminist, Siddhaarth Aalambayan about how her father is still served by her mother. Isha says that she has never seen her father do household work. She further spoke about how men expect women to treat them like their mothers treated their fathers but won’t treat their wives the way her father treated her mother. Isha says that she wishes that little boys were taught to go in the kitchen the way girls are, hear hear! She adds that husbands aren’t “projects” that women need to take care of. Isha says that if one needs a woman to look after the man, then one should simply hire a maid or a cook. Where is the lie?!
