From ‘Aankhon Mein Teri’ To ‘Besharam Rang,’ 7 Times Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan Sizzled On The Big Screen

Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have always been a treat for us to watch on the big screen. Ever since, the debut of this pair in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om, fans have loved their chemistry, and how. While Bollywood is filled with some iconic onscreen pairs, who continue to create that magic, Shah Rukh, and Deepika are surely a part of that long list. Having done four films together, multiple songs, and talk shows, the two always surprise us with their lovely bond. And as this pair gears up to brighten up our screens in the upcoming film–Pathaan, we are looking back at all the times, Shah Rukh Khan, and Deepika Padukone had our hearts beating faster, with their sizzling chemistry on the big screen.
Aankhon Mein Teri
In the 2007 film–Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone made her big Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan. The actress turned into the mesmerising role of Shanti Priya and loaded her wardrobe with the best of vintage looks. Besides her iconic wave on the red carpet, and dreamy eyes, Padukone struck an unforgettable chemistry with King Khan, which I am sure is rare. The two also seemed locked in love in the film’s famous song–“Aankhon Mein Teri.”
Main Agar Kahoon
For another blockbuster song from the film, Deepika Padukone played the Disney Princess, but desi, while Shah Rukh Khan’s character Om imagined himself as her prince. The two took the viewers back into the golden era of Bollywood films and did a little ball dance in a glass globe. The lyrics and their chemistry in “Main Agar Kahoon” warmed our hearts.
Billu’s Love Mera Hit Hit
In 2009, Irrfan Khan-starrer film–Billu, Shah Rukh Khan played a pivotal role and welcomed some of his favourite onscreen co-stars to do special songs in the film. A part of these few tracks was Deepika Padukone, and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer–”Love Mera Hit Hit.” The song sung by–Neeraj Shridhar, and Tulsi Kumar, featured the two actors in a techno, glam setup, with Deepika dancing in high-octane, futuristic costumes, and Shah Rukh Khan donning a bunch of sheer, and sequin shirts. Their chemistry was as usual a treat to watch.
Chennai Express, And The North-South Chemistry
Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan again joined hands for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express. In the North-South love saga, the actors played their roles impeccably, and displayed a new side of their onscreen charisma through songs like–“Titli,” and a fun banter in Honey Singh’s famous–”Lungi Dance.”
Happy New Year
After the release of 2013’s Chennai Express, the actors hopped onto another Farah Khan film in the year 2014, titled–Happy New Year. With Deepika playing a bar dancer, and Shah Rukh Khan essaying the role of Charlie, who is on a mission to take revenge for his dad’s death, director Farah Khan managed to weave the comedy/thriller with romance. The two distinct characters of Mohini, and Charlie, would come together in the beautiful song–“Manwa Laage.”

Pathaan’s Besharam Rang
And reprising their bond again for the big screen, Padukone, and Khan gifted us with a brand new track from their upcoming film–Pathaan. The song “Besharam Rang,” features the pair in a never-seen-before avatar. Dancing by the beach is Deepika in a gamut of tangy swimsuits, and bikinis, while Shah Rukh teases us with his eight-pack abs, mesh shirts, and hats. The two also perform a version of tango salsa, and have us obsessed! We definitely cannot wait for Pathaan to bless the big screen.
