Deepika Padukone Opens Up About Unbreakable Bond With Shah Rukh Khan: “There Is A Sense Of Ownership…”

Deepika Padukone shares a close bond with Shah Rukh Khan, and it is quite evident as well. The actress who made her debut against the mega star has gone on to star in several films with him. This year itself was quite special for the two as they starred in two major blockbusters namely Pathaan and Jawan. Even though Deepika Padukone’s role in the film was an extended cameo, fans have showered immense love on her for her performance as her role left them in tears. Now, in a recent interview, Deepika Padukone has opened up about her rapport with Shah Rukh Khan.

In an interview with The Week, Deepika Padukone spoke about how special her relationship with Shah Rukh Khan is. She said that they are each other’s ‘lucky charms’. She also revealed that they have a sense of ownership over each other and this is what makes their bond special. Talking about luck, Deepika Padukone said that they are way past it but because there is so much love and respect between them, luck just happens to be a cherry on the cake.

In the same interview, Deepika Padukone also talked about getting trolled. She said that half the time she does not know she is getting trolled as it is beyond her emotional bandwidth. Deepika said that she does not have the bandwidth to deal with trolls and trivia.
"Half the time I don’t know I am being trolled. It doesn’t exist in my emotional bandwidth. My work doesn’t get affected because I have laser focus. I don’t have the bandwidth to focus on the menial or the trivial." – Deepika when being asked about trolling and controversies

On the work front, Deepika delivered a stellar performance in Jawan. She will next be seen in Fighter which also stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead. Padukone also has the big-budget film Kalki 2898 AD lined up for release which also stars Prabhas in the lead. The film is said to receive a theatrical release in 2024.
