SRK, John Abraham Drop Deepika Padukone’s “Fierce” First Look From Pathaan To Wish Her On Birthday

Today, on January 5, Deepika Padukone turns 37 years old. As fans gear up to celebrate the actress’ birthday, her Pathaan co-star Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to wish Deepika Padukone. And SRK’s birthday wish for the actress has our attention. The actor dropped Deepika’s first look from Pathaan, to wish her, with the most heartwarming message. John Abraham, who reportedly plays the antagonist in the film, also wished Deepika.
Taking to social media, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled Deepika Padukone’s look from Pathaan while pointing out how the actress has evolved. He expressed how proud he is of her and wished for her to “scale new heights” on her birthday. In the picture, Deepika Padukone can be seen posing with a gun as blood drips down the side of her forehead. Kaafi badass!

Pathaan has been stirring up controversies for a while now. Soon after the song ‘Besharam Rang’ was released, Pathaan was criticised for hurting Hindu sentiments. The actress was spotted wearing an orange bikini in the song and political leaders and extremists have slammed the makers for making her wear a “saffron” colour, which is the colour of Hinduism, in a song titled ‘Besharam Rang’ which hurt Hindu sentiments. Some have also attacked the film for promoting “love jihad” as it has a Hindu actress starring opposite a Muslim actor.

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan is a spy action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. Produced by Aditya Chopra, this film marks Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen after a break of 5 years. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 25.
