Darshan Jariwala Denies Calling Apara Mehta Ugly, Says “She Wants To Play Victim Card…”

Darshan Jariwala spoke about Apara Mehta’s claim that he called her the ugliest woman before separating.

All heads were turned after Apara Mehta claimed that her estranged husband, Darshan Jariwala, called her the “ugliest” woman before parting ways. She spoke about their separation during her interview with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist. However, Darshan Jariwala has now denied this allegation and claimed that the judge rejected their divorce application after she changed her mind at the last minute. Know all about it below!

Darshan Jariwala Denies Apara Mehta’s Claim

During his chat with Siddhart Kannan, Darshan Jariwala stated that there weren’t any limits to lies and that there is a neurological phenomenon in which events can change over time in a person’s memory. He labelled it a case of “false memory.” The actor stated that, the way it has been narrated, nothing like that happened. He revealed that he was not someone “who would even tell, let’s say a plain-looking woman, that she’s ugly.” Darshan Jariwala further stated that it would be a very irrelevant remark to make. The actor shared that if Apara Mehta wanted to play a victim card, she was welcome to do that and that he had moved on. He shared that Apara may have felt threatened by the possibility of being replaced in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and that this could be why she returned to India, rather than simply to speak to him. The actor said that one can’t sit inside her mind and judge her. He stated that he knew his truth. The Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani star asked why she was discussing it 23 years after their separation, particularly when she had never spoken about them before.

He Recalls Filing For Divorce

Darshan Jariwala further recalled filing for divorce papers, however, the judge rejected the application, as Apara Mehta didn’t give her consent. He revealed that she had agreed to the divorce, but she allegedly changed her mind in front of the judge at the last minute. He added that Apara was probably playing the character of a nice, wronged victim. The actor recalled leaving with just one bag and giving her and his daughter his house in Santa Cruz. The actor stated that if someone had to ask for alimony, it should’ve been him because he was under those circumstances however, nothing like that happened. 

For the unversed, Apara Mehta had appeared on Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist. She recalled that she was in the USA and it was their wedding anniversary, so she gave him a call. On the phone, he told her that they needed to talk. The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi star recalled returning to India at 3 am after doing her shows in the USA. She shared that she arrived home at 5 am and she had a 7 o’clock shift. After reaching home, he told her that they needed to separate. She further claimed that Darshan Jariwala told her that he had fallen out of love with her and that she was the ugliest woman he had come across in his life.
