For those of you who don’t know, American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer played an important role in the making of the atomic bombs and was known as the “father of the atomic bomb”. The first trailer of the upcoming film that is set to release in the US on July 21, 2023, is here and Twitter has opinions.

Take a look at this chilling trailer of Oppenheimer.

For the unversed, J Robert Oppenheimer was the head of the Los Alamos Laboratory during World War II and overlooked the Manhattan Project dor the development of the first-ever nuclear weapons. The father of the atomic bomb recalled the quote from the Bhagavad Gita, “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds” after he witnessed the first successful detonation of the atomic bomb, the Trinity test in New Mexico on July 16, 1945. Later in August of that year, the atomic bombs were used in the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. FYI, the film also stars Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Michael Angarano and Kenneth Branagh.
