Chahatt Khanna Backs Chetan Bhagat In The War Of Words Between Him And Urfi Javed. It’s Sad When Women Don’t Support Other Women
Urfi Javed is almost always grabbing the headlines and it is mostly for the creative, unique outfits she wears. But this time around, she is in the news for her fight with author Chetan Bhagat. For those unversed, Chetan Bhagat started it when he commented on how her pictures are distracting the youth of today who are liking these pictures while hiding under their blankets. To this, the actress called him out for his sexist mentality and for always blaming women. Amidst all this, Chahatt Khanna came out in support of the author and sarcastically said that he has, if anything, praised Urfi Javed.
In a recent conversation, Chahatt Khanna backed Chetan Bhagat by saying that she doesn’t believe that the author said anything wrong. In fact, she thinks his comment on Urfi Javed was refined and in a way has even praised her.
Chahatt Khanna, who rose to fame with her role in Bade Acche Lagte Hai, said that Chetan Bhagat is a well-known, respected person and she is very happy that he commented on Urfi Javed. She said, “I am happy that people have started talking about it. Someone has started talking about it, people have started opposing it.”
As per reports, the television actress said that she doesn’t know exactly what Chetan Bhagat said about Urfi Javed but she heard a line where he calls him a distraction. Justifying his comment, Chahatt Khanna said, “He said it in a very refined way. She has been doing several things. It’s okay. I think he has praised her. Girls want to be a distraction. In a mild way, he has praised her and I don’t think he has said anything wrong.”
The entire verbal fight between Chetan Bhagat and Urfi Javed began when the former took a dig at the actress saying that on one hand there are youths who fighting for the country and on the other, there is her who is distracting youths who are liking her pictures from under the blankets. To this, the latter gave a befitting reply where she accused him of promoting rape culture and called out his sexist comment. She said that blaming a woman’s clothes is a classic misogynistic trait.
Urfi Javed called Chetan Bhagat out by saying that men like him will always blame the opposite gender but will never accept their own shortcomings and faults. She even said that he was misguiding the youth by teaching men to blame the woman or her clothes whenever they themselves are at fault.
