Singer D4vd Might Become California’s First Death Penalty Case In Nearly Two Decades
The ‘Romantic Homicide’ singer is being accused of first-degree murder, continuous s*xual abuse of a child under 14, and dismembering human remains. Police said he had a secret relationship with the 14-year-old girl. When Celeste Rivas Hernandez planned to tell people about their relationship, he allegedly took her life.
As per reports, D4vd could become the first person in Los Angeles County to face the death penalty since 2006, if prosecutors choose to ask for it. So far, the ‘Romantic Homicide’ singer has pleaded not guilty. Still, the special circumstances added to the murder charge have made the case more serious and increased the chance of harsh punishment.
Adding to the shock, recently, it was revealed that prosecutors found a large amount of child p*rn*graphy in D4vd’s iCloud storage. This new information has upset many people even more.

For the unversed, the entire story started on September 8, 2025. Workers spotted a car owned by the ‘Romantic Homicide’ singer that had been left in a Hollywood Hills parking lot for more than a month. When they looked inside the front trunk, they found badly decomposed human remains. Later, the remains were identified as 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been missing since the year before.
