In a recent turn of events, reports suggest that teenager Celeste Rivas Hernandez first met singer D4vd when she was just 11 years old. The preliminary hearing brief revealed that he began a s*xual relationship with her in November 2023, when she was just 13 years old, and he was 18. D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been charged with murder and the continuous s*xual abuse of a child under 14 years old. Along with this, he is also being accused of mutilation of human remains after Celeste Rivas’s remains were found inside the front trunk of his Tesla in September 2025. As of now, he has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail ahead of the trial.
The court documents suggest that the teenager was reported missing by her family in both February and April of 2024. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, which was handling her missing person case, contacted D4vd on February 17, 2024, after they found his number in her phone records. He claimed that he had last spoken to Celeste on February 13 or 14 and that he was unaware that she was a minor or that she was reported missing.
The department later visited his house and conducted a check to inform him that the victim was a 13-year-old runaway. Burke claimed again that he was not aware that she was a minor and that he had only met her once in person. Prosecutors said that after Rivas went back to her parents’ Lake Elsinore home, D4vd drove there and paid a junior of her class a 1000 dollars to give Celeste a cell phone to stay in touch.
She allegedly went with Burke to LA, Londono, and Texas while spending weekends at his Hollywood Hills home in 2024. Texts between them had references to s*x, pregnancy, abortion, and the use of the Plan B emergency contraceptives.
