The horrifying case of Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death has shocked everyone to the core. The teen was last reported missing in April 2024 and was later discovered in a decomposing state in September 2025. This didn’t end here. She was found in the trunk of a black Tesla, which was registered in the name of David Anthony Burke, aka D4vd. Read to know more about it here.

About D4vd In Celeste Rivas Death Case

New court documents obtained by The New Post have detailed a new story of how Celeste Rivas Hernandez was murdered and eventually dismembered. Prosecutors have detailed a step-by-step picture of what may have happened the night of the murder, and it’s truly blood-curdling. They have alleged that D4vd singer thought of a calculated and cold-blooded murder in April 2025 after he attempted to conceal the crime. Not just this, court filings have also said that Celeste was brought into his house in the Hollywood Hills on the night of April 23, 2025, according to The California Post.

Investigators believe that Hernandez was badly attacked in the house, and her autopsy suggested that she suffered multiple penetrating injuries. They also claim that the singer stood by as the teenager bled to death from the stab wounds. After her death, reports suggest that many purchases were made using an alias, and these are part of the case now. The documents clearly state that D4vd allegedly purchased a shovel from Home Depot just a day after the event. It was delivered to his house via Postmates, and just a week later, he bought two chainsaws from Amazon.

On May 5, he allegedly ordered other items like a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags, and a blue inflatable pool, which was used to keep the blood spilling. Investigators also found plastic fragments inside the teenager’s body with the pool, and all these purchases were reportedly made under the alias Victoria Mendez. Evidence brought in the courtroom suggested that D4vd tried dismantling the body and hid it in the garage. This document served as a search warrant on D4vd’s Hollywood Hills home.

Lastly, the documents also confirmed that he amputated Celeste’s left ring finger since it had a tattoo of his name along with a pinky finger.
