The American Music Awards 2026 took place recently and legendary boy band BTS made a stylish appearance at the event. Amid their massive Arirang World Tour, the seven members delivered strong performances and took home major awards. They greeted other artists warmly, presented an award, and opened the night with a powerful pre-recorded performance. After the show, they went live on Weverse to share their experience with fans.
The 52nd AMAs were held on May 25 in Las Vegas and BTS achieved huge success. The group won Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer for their track Swim, and Best Male K-Pop Artist. They opened the award show with a high-energy performance of Hooligan from their Arirang World Tour.
During the ceremony, BTS presented an award to singer SZA. After the event, the band members celebrated together on Weverse Live. They enjoyed champagne and cake while talking about their experiences. The members shared how the support from their fans, known as ARMY, helped them feel relaxed and proud before and during the show. The love from fans turned their nervous moments into joyful ones.
V also showed his admiration for SZA during the live session. He talked about how much he loved her music, especially the SOS album. He had even discussed it with J-Hope earlier. J-Hope encouraged him to consider working with her in the future. V expressed deep respect for SZA and other artists like Busta Rhymes and called them truly talented.
