BTS’ Suga Tests Positive For Covid-19 After Returning From US, ARMYs Wishes Speedy Recovery

BTS Member and rapper Min Yoongi aka Suga has tested positive for Covid-19. The news was confirmed by BTS’ agency Big Hit Music today. The agency issued a statement on Weverse, informing fans about Suga’s diagnosis, and said that they will do everything to help Suga recover soon. The statement also added that Suga has not come in contact with any of his BTS members including RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. After hearing the news, ARMYs from all over the world started wishing him a speedy recovery.

The official statement read, “Hello. This is BIGHIT Music. BTS member SUGA was confirmed with COVID-19 on Friday, December 24 during his self-quarantine after taking the PCR test immediately upon his return to Korea on Thursday, December 23.” The statement added that Suga has completed his second round of the COVID-19 vaccination in August and is not showing any symptoms. Currently, the Daechwita singer is administering self-care at home as per the guidelines given by healthcare authorities.

Before travelling to the United States, Suga had taken a PCR test and the reports were negative. When he returned to Korea, the singer began his self-quarantine after taking the PCR again. He received positive results during quarantine, and there was no contact with the other BTS members. The statement mentioned that the company places the artists’ health as the top priority, and will do everything to aid Suga in his speedy recovery. The company will also diligently cooperate with the guidelines of the healthcare authorities. Earlier, Suga returned from the United States. The rapper had to travel to the US with his fellow BTS members to attend a string of events including the American Music Awards 2021, an appearance on The Late Late Night Show with James Corden, and their successful four-day live concert – Permission to Dance on Stage in LA.
