‘Bridgerton 2’ Fame Charithra Chandran AKA Edwina Sharma Says It Hurts When Friends Tell Her She Got The Role Because She’s Brown. She Needs New Friends!

You know, whenever I feel insecure about myself, I just go to my friends because they are my personal cheerleaders and that’s how friendship works, right? But Charithra Chandran from Bridgerton 2 has some really questionable friends as they think that she got the role in the hit series just because she’s brown. She clearly needs some new friends!

Actress Charithra Chandran plays the role of Edwina Sharma who is Kate Sharma’s sister in Netflix’s sensational series Bridgerton season 2. Recently, she revealed some people including her friends don’t support her acting career and said some hurtful things after her selection. She mentioned that some people believe that she was selected because of the ‘diversity quota’ and her friends told her that she’s got the role as she’s brown. “I’ve even had friends say to me, ‘Oh you got that because you’re brown,’ and that really hurts,” she said in the interview. That’s a pretty mean thing to say to your friend, I believe.
