Bridgerton Actress Ruby Barker Hospitalised Due To Mental Health Concerns. Says She Has Been ‘Unwell For A Really Long Time’

It is now that mental health is being regarded as a part of the overall health of a person. Even if a person may look fine on the outside, they might be suffering mentally. People are now speaking up and addressing their mental health issues and seeking therapy and other treatment as well. The month of May has been regarded as Mental Health Awareness month where people share knowledge about mental heath awareness, support those suffering and address lesser-known concerns. In view of the same, actress Ruby Barker, who played the role of Marina Thompson in Bridgerton took to her Instagram to share that that had been hospitalised because her mental health had not been fine.

While being at the hospital, Ruby said that she has been unwell for a ‘really long time’ and has been struggling. Encouraging all those who are suffering and struggling, Ruby urged them to take a break and stop ‘being so hard’ on themselves. Though she did not specify what she is struggling from, she said that she will talk about in detail in the future. Barker also went on to add that she cannot carry on they way she has been and also that she needs to change.

In the caption of the video, she wrote, “Mental health week is every week for me. Off my chest. I feel like I’ve not been completely honest so this is for my followers. Time to be transparent. I’ve been struggling since Bridgerton, this is the truth. Thank you all for supporting me, your love holds me up.”.

After getting discharged from the hospital, Ruby Barker shared another video of her thanking all those who supported her. In the caption, she wrote, “I’ve been discharged from hospital! Thank you so much for the support, I can’t wait for the future and I feel as if I’ve came out the other side. Thank you everyone, have a blessed day”.
