The process of breaking out of conditioning is a journey that all of us have embarked on. Every woman, especially, has gone through her own journey of understanding female s*xuality and desire, and has, at some point, embraced the same wholeheartedly. Lust Stories 3 Star On Breaking Away From Conditioning Around Female Desires
When asked, Radhika Madan shared her story and said, “I associated s*x with something impure and love with impurity. So I think it was self-discovery when I realised that it was conditioning. And when desire is a part of me, then why is it impure and love is pure? That realisation came late to me when I accepted my s*xual life, embraced it and started to celebrate it. That gave me a lot of power, made me secure as a person, made me feel full and gave me more confidence.”
Aditi Rao Hydari added to the conversation and said, “As a society, we discuss violence and, like, murders; even in films, there is so much violence going. But where there’s an intimate scene between two lovers, then we cover the children’s eyes, or call it adult content. Adult content is violence. So why can’t we celebrate love, and the many facets of love which are so beautiful, truthful, honest and real? Violence is not real. Radhika Apte agreed with Aditi Rao Hydari and said, “It’s so true; the children are watching such terrible violence.”
