‘Blurr’ Trailer: Taapsee Pannu Starrer Thriller Looks Gritty And Intense. Have High Hopes With The Cinematography!

Raw, gripping, dark thrillers in no time grab my attention, and I think anyone who is interested in this genre will feel the same. The suspense factor in such movies should be so strong, that missing out on the slightest detail is not really affordable. And after watching the trailer of Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film, Blurr, I have some really high expectations from it. Looks like it can deliver a chilling, fast-paced thriller. Directed by Ajay Bahl, the movie also features Gulshan Devaiah in the leading role. Here are my thoughts on the trailer.

The leading actress Taapsee Panny plays a double role in this film. Also, Blurr is the Hindi remake of a Spanish film, Julia’s Eyes. The trailer itself starts on an intense note, where we see that Taapsee’s character Gayatri comes home to find that her twin sister Gautami has committed suicide. She is shattered and in total disbelief that her sister could take such a drastic step. As the trailer of Blurr moves forward, we see that Gayatri takes up the responsibility of finding out what really happened with her sister.

From the trailer, we also know that Taapsee’s character Gayatri is also on the verge of losing her eyesight which most likely she does at the end, but do we really know? So as the tagline of Blurr says “If you can’t see, can you escape it?” As the trailer continues to grow ominous and intense, we know that Gayatri will probably learn many secrets and mysterious aspects about her sister through her investigation. The trailer shows us some twists but those are not very clear and have been edited in such a way that it gives out information in bits yet keeps the suspense intact. The story unfolds on December 9, on the OTT platform Zee 5.

Blurr looks like a promising remake. Also, since I have not watched the original film, the freshness of the content stays. The dark and thrilling cinematography will most definitely make the movie-watching experience nail-biting. Also, we have seen Taapsee play such intense roles in movies like Game Over, and Badla, so it will be interesting to watch what new she brings to the table with this one.
