BAFTA Reveals 2022 India Breakthrough Talents: Arati Kadav, Sumukhi Suresh, Prateek Vats Make The List
In the past few years, we have seen a lot of new faces and names grace our screens – whether it be the big screens or your mobile/laptop screens. That means that a lot of new talents and artists have emerged and have made a place in the industry with their memorable performances. Keeping these performances in mind, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has revealed their list of 10 emerging talents from across Indian films, gaming, and television industries, that have shown inexplicable potential. These 10 talents will also be seen participating in the 2022 edition of its BAFTA Breakthrough India initiative.
The talents selected for BAFTA Breakthrough are:

As per the reports, all 10 emerging talents shortlisted for the BAFTA Breakthrough India intiative were selected by an honourable jury that consisted of A.R. Rahman (composer ), Apurva Asrani (editor and writer), Anupam Kher and Ratna Pathak Shah (actors), Charu Desodt (games producer), Gaurav Gandhi (Amazon India head), Monika Shergill (Netflix India content chief), Siddharth Roy Kapur and Guneet Monga (producers), Krishnendu Majumdar (BAFTA chair), Vishal Gondal (GOQii CEO), and Shonali Bose (filmmaker).
The BAFTA Breakthrough India initiative that is supported by Netflix will give an opportunity to all these 10 emerging talents to interact with leading British and Indian creators. They will also be given an opportunity to have one-on-one meetings, global networking opportunities, free access to BAFTA events and screenings for the next 1 year, and will also have full voting membership of BAFTA. In fact, they are also going to be promoted as Breakthrough artists globally which in turn will give them full access to international opportunities that they can steal.
