Asim Riaz Criticised For Tweet About Shehnaaz Gill ‘Getting Over’ Sidharth Shukla’s Death, Issues Clarification
Asim Riaz came into the limelight when he participated in the hit reality show Bigg Boss as a contestant. He gained a lot of fans because of his performance on the show and even made it to the finals. But recently, people are criticising him for taking a dig at his co-contestant of Bigg Boss Shehnaaz Gill for ‘getting over’ the sudden death of close friend Sidharth Shukla.
On Monday, Asim Riaz posted a cryptic tweet that was reportedly directed towards Shehnaaz Gill for moving on with her life after close friend Sidharth Shukla’s death due to cardiac arrest. The tweet read, “Just saw few dancing clips…seriously people get over loved ones so soon. Kya baat kya baat (Amazing)….#Newworld.”

His tweet came after a few videos of Shehnaaz Gill surfaced online. In the video, she can be seen smiling and dancing at the engagement party of her manager. She was wearing a shimmery black gown at the party. Kashmera Shah, Monalisa, Paritosh Tripathi and Giorgia Andriani were also present at the party.

After Sidharth Shukla’s death, Shehnaaz maintained a low profile and her fans were quite worried about her. But seeing her enjoying the party made her fans really happy and relieved that she’s moving on with her life except for Asim Riaz. He was not happy seeing Shehnaaz getting over her rumoured boyfriend’s death and even posting about it on social media. People were not happy with his shallow mindset and immediately taught him a lesson including television actor Karanvir Bohra. He posted a tweet without taking any names, the tweet read, “I feel like retweeting this again, coz some people just can’t see others smile, and especially when they’re trying to coming out of a dark place. Asim Riaz’s unnecessary dig at Shehnaaz Gill angered a lot of people for being insensitive. Meanwhile, the hashtag ‘SHAME ON ASIM RIAZ’ started to trend on Twitter as thousands of users slammed Asim on the micro-blogging site.
However, Asim posted a clarification on his social media account on Tuesday. He mentioned that the tweet was not intended for Shehnaaz Gill. The post read, “Guys I got your attention and I think I need to clear this now..I lost one of my good friends last month from jammu and a few of my friends from the same group are partying Ryt now in Goa..so I was actually telling them not who u all are assuming and remember if i wanna say anything I have those guts to come up say it directly…I have close ones too, I have my hommies too so stop targeting stop taking out loopholes and stop taking sympathy.”
