Arshad Warsi’s wife Maria Goretti looked back at the time when she used to work as an MTV VJ.

Maria Goretti, who is Arshad Warsi’s wife, is currently trending on social media because of an unexpected confession. During her recent candid interview, she reflected on the time when she worked as an MTV VJ and was financially independent. However, she admitted that after marriage and having kids, she missed being financially independent as she left her professional career to focus on her personal life.

When Maria Goretti appeared on Aditi Govitriker’s show, she spoke about leaving behind her career after marriage and taking up motherhood. During her chat, the former VJ stated that she missed making her own money. Maria expressed that it was like the kind of money she commanded at one point in time. The former VJ revealed taking a different route, but she also felt that when she was an MTV VJ, there was so much appreciation, and she got so much that she was actually “satiated.” Maria also said that when she had her children, she wanted to sit. She added that, today, if she were at home, she would be knocking on teenagers’ doors, and sometimes she feels that why is she at home for this? The former VJ highlighted the fact that she had a great time then.

Here’s What She Realised

Further in the conversation, Maria Goretti revealed that she became very brave when she had a camera next to her, adding that she was far more friendly and open because, according to her, it came with the job. Maria shared that if she had to do an interview, she would make friends with everyone there, but she realised that without that she couldn’t make friends, and she was actually an introvert. For the unversed, Maria and Arshad Wari met in 1991, and after dating for a few years, they finally tried the knot in 1996. Later, they made their family bigger by welcoming a son, Zeke, and a daughter, Zene Zoe. 

As far as her confession about missing financial freedom goes, we would like to point out that it takes a lot of courage to first acknowledge such feelings and then speak about them publicly, knowing that she will face people’s judgment. This strength should truly be appreciated!
