Diljit Dosanjh Supports Jantar Mantar Protest
Amid the ongoing protest at the Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, Diljit Dosanjh took to his Instagram and shared a story with a note that mentioned, “What happened today was very unfortunate.” He added that the students should not have been treated like that; he requested the authorities to listen to students’ demands as the voice of the people and the voice of God. Additionally, Diljit also penned that he has already been tagged an anti-nationalist so many times and that the same label will be used against him. Recalling the backlash and legal troubles he faced during the farmers’ protest, the singer revealed that he couldn’t even discuss that publicly.

His Past Comments On Protest
During a previous Instagram live stream, Diljit Dosajh was asked about the said protest, during which he stated that he is an artist and not a politician, further asking people to keep him away from all of this. Diljit also revealed that he was not fully aware of the developments around the protest and didn’t want to speak about something that he didn’t fully understand. Soon his comments garnered a massive backlash. After the discussion about the protest started going viral online, people also started calling out other celebrities who hadn’t commented on the matter.
