‘Almost Pyaar’ Teaser: Alaya F Plays A Schoolgirl In This Unusual Love Story

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s last directorial venture was Dobaara, a sci-fi mystery thriller starring Taapsee Pannu. Even though the film did not impress the audience, it went on to receive positive reviews from critics. After a film in this genre, Anurag Kashyap is all set to entertain the audience with a love story. The movie is titled Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat and its cast includes Alaya F and Karan Mehta in the lead roles. It is Karan’s debut film as well. The teaser of this film was dropped on December 22, 2022, and here’s all about it.

The teaser video starts with a voiceover that spills a hard-hitting truth about falling in love. The female Alaya F is introduced as a school-going girl whereas her love interest Karan Mehta looks older than her. The teaser gives a glimpse of the happy and sad times they go through together.

The movie will be in a musical format and the music for it is composed by Amit Trivedi. The tagline of the movie is ‘Mohabbat Se Hi Kranti Aayegi’ which is also incorporated into a song that was heard playing in the teaser throughout.
In her costume of a uniform with braids, Alaya looks the part of a schoolgirl. Whereas Karan Mehta looks like he is not financially well-off.

Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat also premiered at the Marrakech Film Festival in Morocco. this year. Taking about how the story for this film took shape, Anurag Kashyap said that it was his conversations with his daughter and Gen Z and his realisation of how people’s beliefs and conditioning affect them, as per reports.

From the teaser, it looks like Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat is not going to be a cliche love story. It might be an unconventional story about two people who look like they belong to different classes of society that will make people think and ponder. The movie will release in theatres on February 3, 2023.
