Late last night, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to call out paparazzi from a publication who clicked pictures of her while she was sitting in her living room by zooming in from the adjacent building. The actress had tagged Mumbai Police in her Instagram story to highlight the invasion of privacy. In the latest update, the Mumbai Police revealed that they have reached out to Alia.

In a conversation with the media, a senior police officer shared that Khar Police officials have gotten in touch with Alia Bhatt over her Instagram story to inquire if she wishes to file a complaint against the photographer. The authorities have told the actress that if she chooses to file a written complaint a proper investigation will follow. The police official also shared that the actress’ PR team is in contact with the publication whose photographers clicked her pictures from the terrace of the adjacent building.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt shared pictures clicked by the photographer on her Instagram story and pointed out that she was relaxing in her living room when she felt like she was being watched and that is when she looked up and spotted 2 men on the terrace of the neighbouring building with their camera towards her. Calling it a “gross violation of privacy”, the actress slammed the paparazzi for crossing all lines to click her pictures.
