Alia Bhatt Responds To Kangana Ranaut’s Derogatory Comments On ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ By Quoting The Bhagavad Gita

Kangana Ranaut is known for her controversial and very harsh words for a lot of things. Recently, she was in the news for her comments on Alia Bhatt and her movie Gangubai Kathiawadi. After keeping mum for this long, Alia Bhatt has finally responded to her words in the most befitting manner by using the Bhagavad Gita.

Kangana Ranaut had taken to her Instagram stories and criticised Alia Bhatt and Gangubai Kathiawadi. She wrote, “This Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office … for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act… biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting…yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won’t change) no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films … Bollywood is destined for doom jab tak movie mafia has power.”

While in Kolkata for the launch of ‘Meri Jaan’, a new song from Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt replied to Kangana’s derogatory remarks saying, “Lord Krishna had said in the Gita that inaction is an action. That’s all I want to say,” according to the Hindustan Times.

I do believe that a lot of Kangana Ranaut’s comments and bitterness are very personal and uncalled for. While one is allowed to have opinions on  Gangubai Kathiawadi, it is unfair of her to disregard Alia Bhatt’s entire work simply because of her own experiences with nepotism. I also feel that Alia Bhatt’s response to remarks was very clever and gracious as well.
