After Akshay Kumar, Kay Kay Menon And More Celebs Call Out Richa Chaddha For Her “Galwan Says Hi” Tweet
They've all got a point! In the past few days, actress Richa Chaddha has been making headlines and it’s for all the wrong reasons. The actress came under fire after she posted a tweet making Galwan reference in response to Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi’s remarks on how the Indian Army is all set to take PoK back from Pakistan. In her tweet, Richa wrote “Galwan says hi” and it led to severe social media backlash as people called the actress out for “mocking” the Indian Army. There was a lot of uproar amongst politicians too. And while the actress has apologised for her remark, it seems like her troubles are far from ending. Earlier, Akshay Kumar shared a screenshot of Richa’s now-deleted tweet while calling out her comment and now, Kay Kay Menon, director Vivek Agnihotri and filmmaker Ashoke Pandit have reacted to it.
Take a look at Akshay Kumar’s tweet.
Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain. 🙏 pic.twitter.com/inCm392hIH

Taking to Twitter Kay Kay Menon shared a screenshot of Richa Chaddha’s tweet while pointing out that the Indian Army personnel put their lives on the line to keep the nation safe and as citizens, the least we can do is love and respect them. Take a look at his tweet.
Our brave men& women in uniform, put their life on the line to keep every citizen of our Nation safe &secure! Least we can do is to behold love, respect & gratitude,in our hearts, towards such valour! #JaiHind! वंदे मातरम!!🇮🇳🙏 pic.twitter.com/5mqbYfb8Ue

The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri also slammed the actress for her comment. Pointing out that he isn’t surprised with Richa Chaddha’s behaviour, the filmmaker said that such people “genuinely feel anti-Indian” and have only spoken what’s in their heart.
I am not surprised at all with this behaviour. They genuinely feel anti-India. Dil ki baat jubaan pe aa hi jaati hai.
And then they ask why people want to #BoycottBollywood #Shame pic.twitter.com/Y9GgOxDUjs— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) November 24, 2022

On the other hand, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who is currently the president of the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association, filed a police complaint against Richa Chaddha and urged the authorities to file an FIR against her. Further, he pointed out that it’s not okay for a responsible citizen to mock our defense forces and being a celebrity does not give one the right to mock the soldiers. Pointing out that we’re all alive because the soldiers are protecting the nations, the filmmaker said that the comment is an insult to the country and is an anti-national act. He also appealed to the entertainment industry to come out and condemn Richa Chaddha’s comment and show their support for the Armed Forces. Seeking strict action against the actress, Ashoke Pandit said that Richa can’t just say something and then apologise and get away with it while adding that he wants action taken against her and is willing to approach the CM if needed.
