Days after Alia Bhatt’s departure from the Cannes Film Festival 2026, many were wondering when the veteran star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would walk the red carpet. The media was abuzz with rumours that she might not be attending the festival this year, and now, the actor has put all such rumours to rest. Aishwarya Rai Jets Off To Cannes Film Festival 2026
Early on Friday, May 22, Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen at the Mumbai airport with Aaradhya Bachchan as they headed to the Cannes Film Festival. The two were in their usual cosy element with all-black outfits and blow-dried hair. For the airport, the actor was seen wearing a structured black blazer with floral sequin embroidery and some black pants and heeled boots. On the other hand, her daughter was also in a pair of black jeans and a white and black top with a leather jacket over it.

Aishwarya was also seen greeting the paparazzi and stopping to take pictures with some young fans before heading inside the airport. The actor also alerted one photographer about losing their footwear before getting inside the terminal. The star is attending the film festival as a brand ambassador of L’Oreal Paris. There was quite a stir against the brand after they did not feature Rai in their initial brand campaigns. This led to many on the internet calling them out for “replacing” her with Alia Bhatt. Needless to say, her fans were very happy to watch her go to Cannes.
