5 Thoughts I Had About ‘RRR’ Trailer Featuring NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn And Alia Bhatt

5 Thoughts I Had About ‘RRR’ Trailer Featuring NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn And Alia Bhatt

I think I was a victim of stereotypical conditioning because I didn’t take South Indian cinema seriously before I watched the hit Baahubali directed by S.S. Rajamouli and Anil Ajitabh. The intricate story paired with the brilliant CGI and well-choreographed action scenes really surprised me and completely change my perception of South Indian cinema. I have since then improved upon this and am not as ignorant as I used to be. Hence I was looking forward to the much-awaited RRR, another action-drama by director  S.S. Rajamouli. The cast is extremely diverse and full of talented artists such as NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson. The trailer of RRR dropped today and has already garnered 4,878,707 views with comments talking about how amazing it looks! Having contributed to quite a bit of the views myself, let’s talk about the 5 thoughts I had while watching the RRR trailer,

1. This is a pretty long trailer. But not in a bad way. The RRR trailer shows just enough action scenes to give you goosebumps and leave you wanting more while also giving a basic idea of what the story is meant to be about. A pretty good balance.

2. Alia Bhatt looks absolutely beautiful in the trailer. She is seen donning a saree with traditional Indian jewellery and makeup. The RRR trailer does not feature her a lot but from whatever I could see, she looked gorgeous in this new avatar.

3. The RRR trailer left me in awe and very excited about the action scenes. They seem to be super intense with a scene of NTR roaring back at a tiger. Tell me that does not excite and intrigue you enough to watch this! Admittedly, the fight and action scenes are very over-the-top but aren’t those what we go to movies for? The scenes are very well choreographed and clearly, attention to detail has been maintained.

4. The CGI and animation are very S.S. Rajamouli, resembling that of Baahubali. Very detailed and well done with nothing short of being a cinematic masterpiece and a sight to behold. The RRR trailer basically shows off how much work has gone into just these aspects of the movie (among other things).

5. Considering that RRR calls itself “India’s biggest action drama”, I wish there would have been at least one female character who joins in on the actual action and fight scenes. Judging solely by the trailer, all the action and dynamic roles are given to the male characters while the women are helplessly being beaten around. While this is common in many stories, especially ones that have action in them, I was hoping for a change with RRR.

This movie has been anticipated for a while and the RRR trailer lives up to the hype. It shows everything the story has to offer leaving your adrenaline pumping, wanting more. I cannot wait to watch a movie this thrilling on the big screen and will be booking my tickets for when it is bound to release on January 7, 2022.
