On Sunday, India got it’s new beauty queens of 2022. Yepp, I’m talking about Miss India. In a star-studded affair on Sunday night at JIO World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Miss India 2022 was crowned. 21-year-old Sini Shetty from Karanataka won the beauty pageant. Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan was crowned 1st Runner Up and Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh was crowned Femina Miss India 2022 2nd Runner Up. Now, I know what y’all are thinking. Who Is Sini Shetty?
21-year-old Sini Shetty was born in Mumbai but hails from Karnataka. FYI, She represented Karnataka in the contest. Sini did her schooling from Mumbai’s St Dominic Savio Vidyalaya. After finishing her schooling, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Mumbai’s SK Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science and Commerce. As of now, Sini Shetty is pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst course. She had earlier worked for a marketing company as a product executive. She has also modelled for brands like Sugar and Pantaloons in the past.

Sini Shetty is also trained in classical dance, Bharatanatyam. According to India.com, Sini completed her Arangetram in Bharatanatyam when she was only 14 years old. Media reports also claim that she started training for classical dance when she was 4 years old. She is quite active on Instagram and regularly posts dance videos on the social media platform.

Sini Shetty wore a gown from designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna’s collection when she was crowned Miss India 2022. She was crowned by Miss India World 2020 winner Manasa Varanasi. Actors Neha Dhupia, Dino Moream Malaika Arora, designer Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, choreographer Shiamak Davar, and former cricketer Mithali Raj were part of the jury. The big night was also attended by several celebs including Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao, Lauren Gottlieb and Maniesh Paul. Following her win, Sini Shetty will now represent India at the 71st Miss World pageant.
