Twitter User Says That Women Will Be Just As Lonely As Men In The Future. This Is Just Saddening!
It has been over a year since my breakup and it was an active choice on my end to remain single since then. I just knew I had a lot to work on in the mental health department and there was no point in being in a relationship with the same person who is following the same patterns. But I will admit that I have days when I feel lonely. Luckily for me, I am an adult who like most other people, doesn’t have a life other than working. But on a serious note, while I have days that I feel lonely on, it isn’t like I am dying to be in a relationship either. So I was very interested to see this tweet by @Paraglobalism talking about how women are going to be just as lonely as men in the near future.
Something that doesn't really get talked about in the loneliness epidemic at all right now is that before too long it will absolutely start affecting women as much as it's affecting men. pic.twitter.com/FeKRLIZCHQ

Now, I am not going to sit here and say that women don’t need partners and are 100% okay with being on their own. That is a very ignorant blanket statement. But, I also think that relying on simply a partner to feel complete and not lonely is also not ideal. Also, I don’t know why many modern feminists have villainised women that prefer having partners, especially if they are men. While it is great to enjoy your own company and have no need for a partner, wanting one doesn’t automatically make you an anti-feminist. It is a shame we live in an era where despite having this many people in the world, individuals still feel lonely. We have so many dating apps but it is still hard to find and make genuine connections. Here is what Tweeple had to say about this:

I think a lot of women right now realize this, but are masking it by saying it's because men aren't living up to their expectations and actually they'll be fine single forever.
More power to you if that's the case but… be careful it's not just something you're telling yourself

Loneliness epidemic has 10x more to do with technology than anything else imo
Video game groups are great but they don't make up for adult sports leagues, goodreads is great but it doesn't make up for book clubs, twitter is great but it doesn't make up for talking irl, etc, etc

I do think at least in our society women are better at making and maintaining friendships

Again, while I am not actively seeking a partner but I know that at some point, I would like to find someone to be with. And reading such news really does discourage me from even trying. However, it is a big world with all types of people, I do believe that there is someone for everyone. And if there isn’t, I don’t particularly mind my own company either.
