Desi Twitter Reveals Their Favourite Comedic Performance By A Bollywood Actress. We Love The Replies!
One of my favourite genres in movies is without a doubt comedy. A genre that most actors find very difficult to work in. Yep, we’ve time and again heard talented, versatile actors talk about how difficult it is to do a comic performance. And probably that is one of the reasons why only a handful number of actresses have been able to give a solid comic performance. If you were to ask me, which actress has given a solid comic performance, I’d say, without taking a heartbeat, Sridevi. I mean, have you seen her in Mr India? She is gold! However, when I came across a tweet by a Twitter user asking which actress has given a solid comic performance who is not Sridevi, it got me thinking. I was thinking to a point where I checked out the replies and that’s when I was like ‘arey haan! yeh bhi toh hai!’
Yep, Sohini Chattopadhyay, who won the National Award for film criticism, took to her Twitter on June 27 to ask Twitterati which actress for them have pulled off the best solid comic performance in a Hindi film after Sridevi in Mr India. And the replies were quite insightful.
Which actress has pulled the most solid comic performance in a Hindi film after Sridevi in Mr India?
I'll go: Asin in Ghajini, Tilottoma Shome in Hindi Medium and Tabu in Andhadhun

Juhi in Andaz Apna Apna in that tiny role. A before Mr. India, Amritha Singh in Chameli Ki Shaadi

Juhi and Kangana were the clear winners
Juhi Chawla by far had the best comic timing amongst female actors – Bol Radha Bol, Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, Mr & Mrs Khiladi to name a few

Twitterati also voted for Madhuri Dixit for Kishen Kanhaiya, Raja, Total Dhamaal, and many more
Surprised to not see Madhuri listed often, her comic timing is so underrated, especially when paired with Anil K. In Khel and Kishen Kanhaiya specifically. And also in Jeevan Ek Sangharsh.
