Shehnaaz Gill Tells Sister BK Shivani She ‘Lost Desire To Live’ Post Sidharth Shukla’s Demise

After the sudden demise of Sidharth Shukla, his close friend, actress, singer and fellow Bigg Boss contestant Shehnaaz Gill has maintained her distance from the digital world and is rarely seen posting on her social media handle. And now many months after being tight-lipped about it, the actress surprised her beloved ‘SidNaaz’ fans with a virtual interaction with Sidharth’s guru maa, Sister BK Shivani. Titled ‘Reset and Restart’, the actress opened up about her journey of overcoming pain and loss during the spiritual and karmic conversation and shared the same on her YouTube channel.

Welcoming the ex Bigg Boss 13 contestant, Sister Shivani said, “Sweet, simple and divine,” responding to which Shehnaaz mentioned, “I am your student and dressed up like one. I would always tell Sidharth that I want to speak to sister Shivani. Mujhe bahut achhi lagti hai woh. And he would tell me ‘pakka karenge, tu chill kar’. So it has finally happened. I had the wish to meet you and the thoughts have reached you. I am speaking to you and we are exchanging energies.”

Often spotted breaking down in between press interactions for her debut Punjabi film Honsla Rakh alongside actor/singer Diljit Dosanjh, the actress talked about her constant struggle to develop patience and positivity. She said, “I didn’t have patience. I would be in a hurry. Whenever I would get any projects, without giving it a thought I would jump to do it. I have learnt to put thoughts to it. Whatever is written for me, rather I have it written for myself, will be mine. So now I have learnt to put my heart and brain to decide.”

Furthermore, she talked about dealing with the untimely demise of late actor Sidharth Shukla who was like her family, “We should always learn to live with a person’s happy memories. We think about that person would not let me make a bad decision. That doesn’t mean it is his message. I think about the experiences I had with him that I only have to do good and stay on the right path. Else, we wouldn’t be able to connect with that person.”

Adding to it she mentioned, “We keep crying and damage our health. It is of no use. Our journey has not ended. His journey has completed. His clothes have changed and he might have come back now. The face has changed, but he is there. Wo kisi na kisike roop me aa chuke hain. My account with him has ended but it will continue… I always think like that. We see in movies that when there is negativity, the story will continue to a happy ending. I will also have a happy ending sometime or the other.”

While it feels good to watch Shehnaaz Gill’s resilient heart that is trying to deal with the personal loss, she further opened up about the testing times and mentioned, “People think that there is no will to live, ‘ab toh marr hi jau’… these are people’s words. Even I had these thoughts, that ‘Abhi toh hum nahi rehna chahiye’, ‘ab main kya karungi’. But I can’t let these thoughts creep in and go into depression. We will ruin our lives because ‘paramatma’ hasn’t wished this for us. We will later regret it if we destroy our lives.”

Being unfiltered about the bumpy ride that the entertainment industry is followed by, the actress shared, “When I think of myself as a soul, who has come to this earth to perform, I take it lightly when a project goes out of my hand. If I start thinking that I am Shehnaaz Gill, I will feel hurt. We have competition and comparisons and often start to think why we didn’t get this project. I have learnt to overcome such thoughts.”
