Tweeple Meme Over Try Guys Ned Fulmer’s Apology For Having A “Consensual Workplace Relationship” Outside Marriage

While Twitter is one of the most messed up social media platforms on the internet, I am the first to say that the memes that it produces are worth the toxicity it spreads. Literally, every kinda drama is met with a host of reactions and memes from the Tweeple. Adam Levine’s cheating scandal already had the internet in disarray over men who seem like dedicated husbands cheating on their wives but what has caused a mass case of trust issues on the world wide web is the revelation that former BuzzFeed star and Try Guys’ fourth member, Ned Fulmer whose entire personality trait was being in love with his wife, Ariel, with who he has 2 sons, cheated. And this surprised everyone, including me.

Call me deluded but I always thought of the Try Guys as one of the few pure men left on this planet. They came across as the most unproblematic people on YouTube as they stood for feminism, BLM and many more social causes that should be spoken about. Considering Ned was the poster boy for a happily married man and also frequently introduced his wife in videos and also did videos with her about marriage, relationships, building their house, parenthood and more; most people came to look up to them as relationship goals. After his extra-marital affair was exposed, the Try Guys released a statement saying that Ned will no longer be a part of their organisation.

Along with them, Ned shared a statement saying, “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship,” the now-former member said on social media. This statement has caused a host of memes on Twitter inspired by pop culture workplace relationships/ships and I shouldn’t be finding them as funny as I do.

I feel like I still cannot wrap my head around Ned ‘my wife’ Fulmer cheating on his wife. I grew up watching the Try Guys and always looked up to them as goals and this has not only left me stunned but triggered my trust issues.
