Kavya Thapar is a model turned actress who has worked in South Indian films Telugu films. On Thursday, the Ek Mini Katha actress has been arrested by the Mumbai Police following a drunk and drive case which caused an accident with one person injured. According to the police, the whole incident took place near J W Marriott Hotel in Juhu around 1 am when Thapar was driving her SUV while being drunk. After that, she lost control of the car and rammed into a stationary vehicle that injured one person. After a passerby informed the police about the incident and they rushed to the scene but Kavya Thapar started abusing the police and even tried to manhandle them. She has been arrested and is currently under judicial custody.

According to the tweet of ANI, “Actress Kavya Thapar was arrested and sent to judicial custody, on charges of engaging in a scuffle & using abusive language with the police, after she hit a car & injured a person under the influence of alcohol, yesterday morning.” states Juhu Police.

The Juhu police have booked the actress under section 353,504,332,427 of IPC and started the investigation of the case, as per the source.
