Fashion Brands Are Dropping Vaccine-Ready Collections Featuring Cold-Shoulder And Sleeveless Tops

I never knew I would ever say this but if there’s one thing that I absolutely cannot wait for is getting vaccinated against coronavirus. That triumphs everything on my bucket list this year. I mean, my whole social life that got shelved because of the pandemic depends on this one shot. Although I am really excited for this strange event of my life, what I am going to wear for it never really crossed my mind. But apparently, I should have (did anyone, though?). Here I was thinking I would throw on my usual worn out T-shirt when I go to get the vaccination, but this fashion brand just made me take a hard look at my wardrobe. Apparently, there are some clothing options that are fashionably and functionally fit to wear when you get the shot and if you don’t already have those, be prepared to roll up your sleeves (quite literally in this case, lol).

Revolve has introduced a clothing line dedicated to the vaccine drive which mostly features shoulder-barring and sleeveless tops. These clothes make it easy and effortless for you to get the vaccine in since they leave the spot where the vaccine is injected exposed. A lot of celebrities in the west who have got the shot opted for similar styles. Dolly Parton posted a picture of herself getting vaccinated in a sequinned cold-shoulder dress which required no rolling up of sleeves. So did Amy Schumer. I think it’s a good time to add some sleeveless fashion pieces to your wardrobe so you can also get the shot with no hassle.

The website shows upper arm-barring styles like tube tops, strappy and tank tops, cold-shoulder, off-shoulder and one-shoulder tops in their vaccine-ready section. Just like you filter the clothes according to occasion and events, you could hunt through the vaccine-worthy styles on the website. The clothes aren’t anything new but they do check all the boxes for the coveted appointment. This is a smart marketing gimmick to pass off a regular clothing collection as pandemic-specific. We are impressed!

In a statement, a spokesperson of the brand said, “REVOLVE is all about being there for our customers when it comes to the important moments in their lives, and with things starting to look up with the vaccine rollout, why not look good while doing it?” The Internet is still divided about the idea with some being totally against it and finding it “moronic” while others think it’s “cute” and the concept is “brilliant.” If you ask me, I think if it’s convenient to wear a peekaboo style so there are no awkward fashion moments of pulling up the sleeve while getting the shot (which is scary as is), what’s the harm? I think there should be a filter for vaccine-ready clothing on all shopping sites.

After the celebrities wore the cut-out tops and posted a picture getting the shot in them, cold-shoulder has officially become “the look” for the vaccine appointments. A lot of women are trusting the summer staple for their vaccination look and a fashion brand pushing it on their website and making it accessible for their customers is no big deal. That’s just business. And, as a fashion-forward customer who would be placing an order as soon as she is eligible for the vaccination, I support this move.
