Farah Khan Reveals She Didn’t Know Who Ed Sheeran Was Before Hosting A Party. Erm… This Makes It More Awkward
Books and music are food for the soul. They teleport you to a different world altogether. And when you find that right book to go with the right music – sheer perfection! With various artists coming up with new albums all the time, finding the right song, artist, or album can be a task. So, like many others, I have an all-time favourite artist that I can listen to any time of the day. And that is none other than the English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran. I mean who doesn’t love his music and the lyrics of his songs, and the music videos, right? I would give an arm and a leg for a chance to meet him, and was quite envious of some Bollywood celebs who got party with him. But now I find out that director Farah Khan, who hosted the party and clicked selfies with Ed did not even know who Ed Sheeran was before the party! Erm, what?
Recently, the Bollywood choreographer-turned-filmmaker made an appearance on Arbaaz Khan’s talk show Pinch. On the show, she swore on her kids and revealed that she had no clue who Ed Sheeran was. And it was her friend and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan who told her how big of a deal Ed Sheeran was.

Farah further said that she thought Ed Sheeran was a friend of her cousin’s since she had never heard any of his music. In fact, she had even passed on Sheeran’s 2017 concert tickets that the singer had given her himself! She only realized how big of a singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was when people around her started asking for an invitation to the party she was hosting for him. Does this make any fans’ blood boil because same!

Farah Khan told Arbaaz Khan, “My cousin who works as a lawyer in a music company told me that Ed wants to come to India and wants to experience a Bollywood party. I swear on my children, I had no idea who Ed Sheeran was. I thought he would be my cousin’s friend, but my cousin and aunt asked me to host a party for him. Then I called Abhishek (Bachchan) and asked about him, he told me that he is the number 1 singer. We started as a small party, but I didn’t realize that Ed is so famous, as everyone started calling me that they want to attend the party. So it turned out to be a big bash.”
Some people have all the luck and privilege and barely even know what to do with it. And here, die-hard fans have to stand in massive crowds for hours to catch a glimpse of the singer that might have changed their lives! Such is this world!
