It’s raining babies in Bollywood, and we can’t keep calm because actress Sonam Kapoor is soon-to-be a mom. Yes, you read that right. Sonam Kapoor and husband Anand Ahuja have surprised us all with a superb new and have certainly kicked our Monday morning blues away. The couple who got married in 2018, is expecting a baby. Announcing the same, Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and shared a string of three images in a black bodysuit with husband Anand as she captioned it as, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you.”

The black and white images of Sonam and Anand have us all teary-eyed, and I guess this announcement is one of my favourites. Vintage, romantic and monochrome, the images serve as a window to the couple’s happiest moment in life. Responding to the news, Sonam’s cousins Khushi, Janhvi Kapoor and other celebs including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria, Vaani Kapoor showered the couple with happy wishes. Styled by Rhea Kapoor, assisted by Meagan Concessio and photographed by Ashish Shah, Sonam looks stunning in the black bodysuit, as she lays her head on Anand’s lap. And we can’t wait for the gorgeous maternity fashion that is coming our way from the Goddess herself.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja tied the knot back on May 8, 2018, in a dhoom-dhaam ceremony in Mumbai in presence of close family members and friends. Their wedding festivities took place around the time of Sonam’s film Veere Di Wedding release and both the wedding and film gained much traction and love from her fans. And now as the two are expecting their firstborn, we just can’t wait to see them take on this beautiful journey, which of course will welcome loads of fashionable experiments for us to witness.
