In fact, with a tonne of women-centric movies that are now hitting the screens and are already in the making, I have one Taapsee Pannu film that is going to change the game. Yep, I’m talking about the film based on Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team – Shabaash Mithu. The teaser of Shabaash Mithu is out and we can’t wait for Taapsee Pannu to hit it out of the ballpark with her performance.

Taking to their social media, Taapsee Pannu and makers of Shabaash Mithu dropped the teaser of Mithali Raj’s biopic on March 21, 2022. The film revolves around the cricket prodigy that changed women’s cricket in India forever.

The sports biopic starring Taapsee Panu and Vijay Raaz is written by Priya Aven, directed by Srijit Mukherji, and produced by Viacom18 Studios. Shabaash Mithu has been shot at various international and domestic locations to keep the authenticity of the story alive.
I can’t wait to watch the movie when it is so close to releasing on the big screens. After all, any movie that inspires and celebrates women is a good movie, isn’t it?
